2021 Yamaha R15 V4 & R15 M Launched In India

Yamaha has launched the latest-generation R15 in India. Along with the standard version of the bike, Yamaha has also launched the M trim of R15. The new R15 gets updated styling, USD fork, a quick shifter, and traction control.The updated Yamaha R15 gets the R7 inspired styling, there is a revised front end now features a single projector-type LED headlamps which is reminiscent of the recently launched R7. It is flanked by sharp-looking LED DRLs.The tail section, meanwhile, looks similar to the one on the R15 V3.0 but appears to have large air ducts. The stays for the pillion-foot pegs and a new exhaust muffler also appear to be different this time around.Powering the motorcycle is the same 155cc, four-valve, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 18.3 hp, which is 0.3hp lesser than the current model.  The new R15 also gets a revised instrument cluster that features Yamaha's Bluetooth connectivity. The new R15 also gets traction control and a quick shifter on select variants. The bike also gets two modes - Street and Track.In terms of equipment list, the Yamaha R15 v4 comes equipped with USD front forks, dual-channel ABS, traction control system, and a quick shifter that will come as standard on the R15M and racing blue colour of the regular model. The motorcycle will be available in 3 colours - racing blue, dark knight, and metallic red. The M variant, meanwhile, gets a bright silver paint scheme with blue-coloured wheels, similar to the ones seen on the 2016 R1M.The standard variant of the new R15 is priced at INR 1.67 lakh, the R15M variant costs slightly more at INR 1.77 lakh and the limited-edition MotoGP variant is priced at INR 1.79 lakh.
